General Info & Maintenance

Liquid nitrogen fills are performed once a week, Sunday morning (08:00-10:00).
Periodic maintenance is often performed on Sunday mornings to coincide with the N₂ fills. Liquid helium fills normally render the instruments unstable for a few hours. Fills generally occur once in 6 weeks (800 MHz) to once in 3 months (500 MHz and others). Whenever you schedule for an instrument on that day, a note will appear.

Booking NMR time

Booking time on the 500 & 800MHz instruments is done via Internal Services of the WIS, using the High-Resolution NMR service. Only authorized (trained) users will be able to login into this service and book time on the instruments.
Booking 20-minute sessions on the 250MHz is done on site.
