    New Enhancements available in IEEE Xplore

    New enhancements to IEEE Xplore will be available from June 19th. These enhancements include forward Patent Citations and the ability to view the full text of the patent via links to the USPTO website. Forward Patent citations are included in a "cited by" tab on the IEEE Xplore article abstract page and this tab now includes U.S. and European patents that cite the particular article.     The library has purchased Tribology and Interface Engineering book series. The expanded content of these series will now include Colloid and Multiphase Systems; Rheology; Colloids; Tribology and Erosion; Processing Systems; Machining; Interfaces and Adhesion; as well as the classical Tribology content which will continue to include Friction; Contact Damage; Lubrication and Wear at all length scales.

    The book series can be accessed from the library catalog or the eBook manager

    Elsevier, in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science and the IUCC-Inter-University Computation Center (MALMAD - "MACHBA"), hosted the Library Connect Seminar in the WIX auditorium June 5th.  The event entitled "Publishing and libraries: about contents and beyond" was well attended by Library Professionals from around the country.  Hedva Milo, Head of Weizmann libraries, delivered a talk entitled “Changing worlds”

The Weizmann Institute Library strives to create a dynamic information environment that fosters research, learning and innovation. The library’s goals are:

  • Develop and maintain high quality collections with an emphasis on digital content and timely access to information resources
  • Provide services and tools that support research, education and discovery.

The Weizmann Institute Library System consists of the Central Library, three Faculty libraries, and the Weizmann Institute Archives.

The Central Library serves as the headquarters, managing and coordinating all library activities and services . It also holds special collections such as: History of Science, Haber’s collection, Land of Israel, the Einstein’s reprints collection and Prof. Ephraim Katzir's collection.

Faculty libraries contain books and periodicals on the relevant disciplines and provide Library Services to the scientific faculties, students and staff.
