The Siemer lab at USC is looking for a post-doctoral associate with a knowledge of protein biochemical techniques and a background in NMR spectroscopy. We study the structure and dynamics of amyloid fibrils in disease and functional contexts. For this purpose, we use a variety of biophysical methods with a focus on solid-state NMR spectroscopy.

Positions are available for a postdoctoral researcher and a PhD candidates in the group of Michal Leskes at the Department of Materials and Interfaces, Weizmann Institute of science, Israel.

The projects, funded by the ERC, include the development of paramagnetic metal ion dopants as endogenous polarization agents for MAS-DNP and application of this approach in the study of energy storage and conversion materials.

A PhD position is opened at ISM (Institut des Sciences Moléculaires), CNRS 5255, Université de Bordeaux. The PhD project will focus on the development and the application of innovative implantable NMR microcoils for MRS and MRI biomedical studies. In vivo investigations will be carried out in animal models of disease. The transfer to the clinic is part of the objectives of the PhD project. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment including biologists, physicists, MR scientists and radiologists.

A 3 year postdoc post available in my group. The project involves the application of PELDOR/DEER spectroscopy and CryoEM on membrane ion channels. I would be grateful if you could pass this advert to anyone who may be interested.
"Applications are invited to conduct multidisciplinary research investigating the structure and function of mechanosensitive ion channels, which form pores in the cell membrane and allow the passage of molecules in response to membrane tension.

Postdoc and PhD positions open up immediately
Project information:
We apply structural biology methods in order to gain a mechanistic view of CK1ε action in the Wnt signalling pathways. CK1ε represents an attractive therapeutic target but currently two key steps in the CK1ε-mediated Wnt signal transduction are unclear: (PostDoc Project) how CK1ε gets activated and/or engages target proteins in response to Wnt signal and (PhD project) how CK1ε phosphorylates its key substrate DVL and what are the consequences of DVL phosphorylation.
