Summary

A Postdoctoral position at the CEA Saclay / LSDRM in Tritium Solid State NMR and DFT-Molecular Modeling is available

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in microscopic MRI (µMRI) study of articular cartilage. This position is funded by a multi-year R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) till 2022. The project aims to determine a set of multidisciplinary molecular parameters that best describes the early changes in osteoarthritic cartilage in animal models and human at microscopic resolution. Quantitative correlation with the whole-body clinical MRI of cartilage and joint is also a part of the research plans.

A four-year PhD position, starting September 2019

Supervisors: Steven P. Brown (Physics) and Jozef R. Lewandowski (Chemistry)

A PDRA position in the NMR and physical studies of endofullerenes is available in the group of Malcolm Levitt, University of Southampton, UK. The position is initially for 1 year but extension may be possible. The project involves our NMR, neutron scattering and other spectroscopic studies of molecular endofullerenes, which are a fascinating new set of materials in which single molecules are encapsulated in fullerene cages. These systems are produced by our collaborators in Southampton so no synthetic chemistry is involved.

The BC Children Hospital Research Institute (BCCHRI) and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) seek to recruit an outstanding scientist for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track).

A PhD position is available in the AgroResonance laboratory to develop a new NMR-based sensor to measure flow and water quantity in the agroecosytems, directly in their environments.

In the Laboratory of Biophysics at Wageningen University, The Netherlands, we have a 4-years PhD position available for working on the development of high-field rheo-MRI methods to be applied on complex fluids under confinement. For further details please see:

Bridge12 has an open position for a scientist - magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Overview

The molecular imaging north competence center (MOIN CC) in Kiel, Germany, is looking for a PhD student in the area of parahydrogen hyperpolarization for MRI and NMR.

The PhD position is part of the DFG-funded research training circle 2154 "materials for brain" and more information is available on

A three-year PhD position in solid-state NMR spectroscopy of microbattery materials is available at the University of Lille, Lille, France. It will start in the fall 2019.

The group of Dr. Bjorn Burmann at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, is currently recruiting a PhD-student for studying the dynamics of a DNA packaging factor by solution NMR-spectroscopy. The Department and the Swedish NMR Centre offers an international and enthusiastic working environment with excellent infrastructure for studies in all areas of life science.

We are looking to fill a PhD position for an exciting new project in our lab at the University of Groningen. This project is funded by a grant from the Netherlands’ Campagneteam Huntington – a community-driven effort to fund Huntington’s disease (HD) research in the Netherlands.

We are inviting applications for a «Junior Professor» (tenure-track) position in NMR spectroscopy at
the Department of Chemistry of Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris. The candidate will join the
NMR team of the « Laboratoire des biomolécules » (LBM), and will benefit from an outstanding
scientific environment in terms of equipment and potential collaborations in the laboratory, the
department and more generally in PSL University.
Candidates should have a record of outstanding research achievements, in any field of solid-state
