Project title: “Structural investigation of polymorphic organic powders at natural isotopic abundance”

At Wageningen University we currently have a position for a PhD student in the field of magnetic resonance. The position is well embedded in a cross-disciplinary collaboration with Leiden University as well as industry. Excellent facilities are available, comprising 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 MHz NMR spectrometers, equipped with high-performance PFG, (rheo)MRI and HR/CPMAS capabilities.

Two post-doctoral positions (start date – June/July 2018) are available in the group of Dr. Lalit Deshmukh at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of California San Diego (UCSD). Both positions will be available for 2 years with the possibility of extension.

Ph.D. or post-doctoral positions in NMR/structural biology at the Centre for Biomolecular Drug Research (BMWZ), Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany.

Research

An Post-doc position is opened for 15 months in NMR and MRI in the MRIFood team at Rennes, France.

 

The zero and ultralow field NMR (ZULF-NMR) consortium will be recruiting 11 early-stage researchers (ESRs) to start in 1 oct 2018, see www.zulf.eu. This is funded under the EU Marie Curie scheme. One ESR will be based in the laboratory of Malcolm Levitt in Southampton, for 3 years.

Two PhD studentships on oxygen-17 isotopic labeling using mechanochemistry & NMR are available at the University of Montpellier (France). The first is focused on the study of organic compounds, the second on inorganic ones.
The application deadline for both positions is March 15th 2018, for a starting date on October 1st.

A one-year postdoctoral research position, renewable by mutual consent for two additional years subject to available funding, is offered at Hunter College of the City University of New York, beginning around January 15, 2018. The research program concerns solid and liquid state NMR of materials being evaluated for electrochemical energy storage and conversion, in particular lithium battery and fuel cell applications. Current and future work involves collaborative projects with U.S. National Labs and U.S.

The new laboratory in Regensburg (Southern Germany, 100 km North of Munich), has an open position for a Postdoc and for a PhD student.

Our lab is interested in applying and developing methods in NMR spectroscopy (including methyl TROSY techniques) for very large protein complexes (> 100 kDa). Our aim is to understand how motions in large enzyme complexes influence function.
