Join us to contribute broadly to the advance of medicine in the Protein Sciences group within the Chemical Biology and Therapeutics department. You'll be part of a state-of-the art Structural Biophysics group that provides biophysical characterization of ligand binding to protein targets and structural biology information to expedite drug discovery projects undertaken at the NIBR Cambridge, MA campus.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing NMR expertise to advance lead finding and early drug discovery efforts
• Working closely with the scientists in Protein Sciences, Biology and Chemistry to enable hit generation with fragment approaches, mechanism of action studies, and characterization of target proteins
• Experience in implementing novel NMR methodologies and pulse sequences
• Being an inspired innovator to help drive our initiatives and drug discovery efforts forward

Minimum requirements - What you’ll bring to the role:
• Advanced degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or Chemistry or a related field and significant work experience in biomolecular NMR spectroscopy (Ph.D. and at least 2 years of relevant work experience)
• Strong hands-on experience in biomolecular multidimensional NMR methods
• Experience in both ligand observed and protein observed interaction studies and demonstrated success in experimental design to answer complex scientific questions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are a must and candidate must have the ability to work in large, multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Requirements:
• Experience in protein-production and labeling methodologies for NMR application is highly desirable
• Experience with NMR characterization of large or multidomain macromolecules
