PhD Scholarship - Nanoscale Organisation and Dynamics Group, Western Sydney University, Australia

·         The scholarship will provide a tax free stipend of $30,000 per annum for up to 3 years.

·         Eligible students will also be considered for a tax-free scholarship top up of $15,000 per annum ($10,000 stipend and $5,000 research consumables and/or travel) for a period of 3 years from the Centre for Oncology Education and Research Translation (CONCERT) funded by the Cancer Institute NSW.

·         Campbelltown Campus, Western Sydney University, Sydney, NSW, Australia

The successful applicant will undertake a project to develop MRI techniques to map the chemical composition of biological tissue, in order to minimise or even replace the use of X rays (particularly computed tomography or CT) in treatment planning for external beam radiation therapy cancer treatments. Such techniques may also have applications in improved diagnostic imaging.
