Postdoctoral Position at the University of Georgia

An opening exists at the University of Georgia for a postdoctoral associate to work on structural characterization of protein-carbohydrate complexes using advanced NMR techniques.   Primary responsibilities involve working with a team of scientists focused on turning glycosyltransferases (proteins that build complex carbohydrates) into highly selective reagents for identification of disease-relevant cell-surface epitopes.  We are located in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC), a preeminent facility for glycoscience research. We have excellent NMR instrumentation with three 600 MHz one 800 and one 900 MHz spectrometer, all with cryoprobes.
It is especially important that candidates have experience with advanced NMR methodology and are interested in the development of novel approaches to solving challenging problems in the structural biology or glycoscience area.  Please send an email describing your interests, along with a CV and the names of three individuals that may be contacted for reference letters, to James H. Prestegard ( by August 1, 2015. The University of Georgia is an AA/EEO employer.
