Registration and other details

The Workshop is open to senior graduate students, postdocs and researchers from academia and industry

Prerequisites for participants:
Graduate-level university education
Fluency in English
Computer literacy
Scholastic background in biochemistry, molecular biology or bioinformatics

All applicants should send a short CV describing education and work experience to the Bioinformatics Workshop Secretariat.
Graduate students should, in addition, have their Thesis Advisor send a letter of recommendation describing their scholastic and practical aptitude to the same address.

COST: 600 € or 900 USD*

*A limited number of Fellowships are available for attendees from academia, courtesy of the Israel Commission for UNESCO. With your application, let us know whether you will need a fellowship.

Cost includes:
Transfer from Tel-Aviv airport to and from the workshop venue
Room and board
Lecture sessions
Hands-on sessions
Written materials
Biotechnology and Dead Sea tour

Foreign travel and health insurance (obligatory) are not included in the cost. A number of partial travel stipends are available for attendees from academia, courtesy of the Teach-SG project of the European Commission. With your application, let us know whether you will need a travel stipend.

ACCOMODATION: Room & Board at the Weizmann Institute of Science or at nearby locations.


Where in the Weizmann Institute:
Morning lectures will take place at the Schmidt Lecture Hall (number 7 on the map), afternoon Hands-on sessions at the Levine Building (number 30 on the map). Housing is at the International Science Youth Village (number 52 on the map).
