Getting to the Weizmann Institute from the Airport:
pickup by a BIOmics Workshop representative (no cost):
Make sure to let the
Workshop Secretariat
know the details of your incoming flight.
If you do so, at most times a representative from the Workshop will be at the Arrivals
Terminal to meet you and take you to the Weizmann Institute.
He will display a sign saying WEIZMANN INSTITUTE BIOMICS.
by taxi:
As you exit from the Arrivals terminal,
go to the official airport taxi stand. (It is recommended to use this taxi service
for reasons of reliability and cost.) Ask the driver to take you to Rehovot, to the
Weizmann Institute. The cost should be roughly the equivalent of $25 (US dollars),
and the ride should take around 30-40 minutes.
by train:
Buy a ticket for a train to Rehovot. Take the train to Tel-Aviv and
get off at Tel-Aviv Hagana train station (about 8 min.) Go to the
opposite platform and ask for the train to Rehovot (about 25 min.).
The train station in Rehovot is a walking distance from WIS. When
getting off at Rehovot train station go down the stairs and turn left.
When exiting the station turn right and then left at the main road.
The second gate you will see on your left is WIS.
Here you can get train schedules.
Since there's no direct train Ben Gurion Airport to Rehovot, you will need
to query for Ben Gurion Airport to Tel Aviv Hagana, and from Tel Aviv Hagana to Rehovot.

Forecast for Rehovot, Israel
Apparel:
Dress is casual in Israel. Although at this time of year it is usually
warm in Rehovot ( see weather Forecast), the lecture halls and
workshop rooms will be air conditioned. So, it is advisable to bring a
sweater along. There is no need for rain gear, as the dry season in
Israel normally holds through the month of September.
Do bring a swim suit along. The International Youth Village, where
participants are housed, is just a 3 minute walk from the Institute
recreation center and swimming pool (complimentary for registered
participants). Also, remember to bring your swim suit along on the
trip to the Dead Sea , and a sweater for the same evening in Jerusalem.
