A dedication ceremony was held on the Weizmann Institute campus in Rehovot in May for the Lily and David Bluston Courtyard at the Weizmann UK Building for Biocomplexity Research. Trustees of the Bluston Charitable Trust, Daniel Dover and Martin Paisner CBE, were present for the dedication alongside Weizmann Institute President, Prof. Daniel Zajfman, and Executive Director of Weizmann UK, Sheridan Gould.

The courtyard is the latest example in a long list of buildings and institutes across the campus bearing the names of British philanthropists who have given their support to the Weizmann Institute.

The Weizmann UK Building for Biocomplexity Research was itself the result of a successful $5 million campaign funded by UK donors in 2016. The building provides space for cancer research, laboratories to advance studies into inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s and arthritis, and fertility research. It is also home to the Clore Institute for High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy a key research facility which plays a vital role in advancing imaging capabilities across many scientific fields at the Institute.
