Visit of Prof. Ada Yonath to Barcelona

Mr. Ruben Lerner, Chairman of the Spanish Society of Friends of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Mrs. Monique Hatchwell, Honorary President of the Society, hosted two events in Barcelona on Nov. 28. Prof. Ada Yonath of the Department of Structural Biology, who received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her elucidation of the ribosome’s structure and function, was the guest speaker at both events. The first event, a festive lunch, was hosted by (and at) the Circulo del Liceo at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and the second event, a dinner, that was hosted by (and at) Fundacio Casa Cresques de Barcelona, Israeli Catalan hub.
