Weizmann, IST host joint fundraiser

The Austrian Society of the European Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, chaired by Dr. Nikolaus Pitkowitz, along with the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST), hosted a joint fundraising dinner in support of the two global research institutes.

Weizmann Institute President Prof. Daniel Zajfman, Prof. Haim Harari, a former Weizmann Institute president and the current Chairman of the Executive Committee of the IST Board of Trustees, and Bob Drake, President of the European Committee for the Weizmann Institute, attended this event and congratulated the guests. Prof. Thomas Henzinger, President of IST Austria, was there to welcome and congratulate the guests as well.

Prof. Elad Schneidman of the Weizmann Institute's Department of Neurobiology, and Prof. Gašper Tkačik, a theoretical physicist from IST Austria, presented their collaborative research project on neural coding.
