In its latest event in Tel Aviv, the Israeli Friends Association hosted three women scientists who participated in the Israel National Program for Advancing Women in Science. Opening greetings were given by Prof. Daniela Goldfarb, the President’s Advisor for advancing Women in Science and a member of the Department of Chemical and Biological Physics. Members of the panel, which was led by Prof. Yechiam Prior of the same department, who initiated the program more than a decade ago, shared that the recognition they received as grantees of the program empowered them to succeed. The grant helps women with postdoctoral fellowships abroad to support themselves and their families during this period, supplementing typically low postdoc salaries. The event took place at the Hilton Hotel.

The event’s keynote speaker, Meni Itzachaki, Deputy Commissioner (ret.) served as head of the interrogations and intelligence directorate of the Israeli national police until recently. He spoke about corruption and crime.
