Weizmann Canada is proud to announce that the Montreal chapter of the Weizmann League launched in January, following in the steps of the Toronto group.

The Weizmann League is a group of young professionals focused on raising awareness and support for the Weizmann Institute of Science. The Toronto chapter has been very active in recent months, hosting a panel discussion on innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as a ‘fitlanthropic’ event where guests were treated to a challenging workout and learned about the Weizmann Institute’s research on health and wellness.

In March, the Montreal Weizmann League launched with Scientists of Tomorrow. Two outstanding graduate students from the Weizmann Institute, Amitai Mandelbaum and Heli Ben Hamu, shared their thought-provoking views on the future of research in diabetes and artificial intelligence. A similar event was held in Toronto, and both evenings were eloquently led by Dr. Ami Shalit, Academic Secretary for the Feinberg Graduate School.

With plans to expand into Western Canada, we are looking forward to further success with this next generation of the Weizmann Canada community.
