Endeavor Brazil comes to Rehovot

Date: Thursday, December 13, 2018

A group of highly influential entrepreneurs and executives from Brazil, called Endeavor Brazil, visited the campus of the Weizmann Institute of Science on October 15.

The delegation received an overview of the Institute from Prof. Israel Bar-Joseph, Vice President for Resource Development and Public Affairs, and heard from Dr. Ravid Straussman, from the Department of Molecular Cell Biology, who spoke about his groundbreaking cancer research.

Among the participants was Marcos Lederman, who established the Morá Miriam Rozen Gerber Fellowship with his family and their TVLM Foundation. This postdoctoral fellowship supports Brazilian scientists doing research at the Weizmann Institute.

Mr. Lederman had the opportunity to meet Dr. Camila Freze Baez, the first fellowship recipient, and hear about her experience on campus in the Department of Molecular Genetics.
