The Weizmann Women in Science Award is a biennial award established in 1994 that honors an internationally renowned woman scientist who has made significant contributions in their respective fields, as well as to the scientific community in general. The objective of the award, which includes a $25,000 research grant for the recipient, is to promote women in science, and to provide a strong role model to motivate and encourage the next generation of young women scientists. The award winner is invited to the Institute for an award ceremony and a lecture.
The 2019 prize will be in the field of Life Sciences.
Nominations should include:
1. A nomination letter that outlines the major scientific contributions and a short account on why the nominee is an exceptional role model for young women scientists.
2. CV and list of publications.
3. Two letters of recommendation
