Tingo Medical – Theoretical Physicist / Applied Mathematician
Tingo is a medical device start-up operating in the diabetes space and developing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). Founders include serial med-tech entrepreneurs Ofer Yodfat and Guy Shinar, and industry veteran Lior Shtram. Investors include Grove Ventures and ForMED ventures.
Tingo is seeking a talented theoretical physicist / applied mathematician experienced in modeling complex systems using both analytical and numerical approaches. Our development effort employs experiment and theory side by side. The work is cutting-edge in an exciting and innovative environment. An appetite for interacting with experimentalists and engineers is a must.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. in theoretical physics or applied mathematics
• Experience in modelling complex systems using non-linear ordinary differential equations.
• Experience in scientific programming using software tools such as MATLAB and Python
• Natural inclination for teamwork
• Outstanding research competence
Tasks include:
• Refinement and development of mathematical models of biosensors
• Development of software tools for data acquisition and analysis
• Design of experiments
• Participation in multi-disciplinary development work alongside electro-chemists, engineers and physicists
Nice to have:
• Prior experience with modeling reaction-diffusion or enzyme systems
• PhD degree
• Strong written and oral skills.
