An Invitation to join BioAbroad – uniting Israeli scientists, physicians and entrepreneurs living abroad
Many Israelis going abroad for their professional development encounter professional and social difficulties. During their stay abroad they sometimes feel a sense of social and professional isolation and when they decide to return to Israel they confront a very real problem of finding work suited to their qualifications.
These problems can be overcome by networking with a professional community of other Israelis abroad and by maintaining professional contacts in Israel. In addition, many Israelis find that Israelis abroad make excellent collaborators for research, business and professional updates.
BioAbroad is a nonprofit organization registered in Israel and active in the United States and other countries. Our goal is to bring together Israeli scientists, physicians and entrepreneurs in the life sciences, medicine and exact sciences living abroad and help them maintain professional contact with Israel and find suitable work upon their return. More than 800 scientists, physicians and entrepreneurs have already joined our ranks. BioAbroad operates through regional representatives in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Cincinnati, San Francisco, San-Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, Durham, Toronto, and Ann Arbor. Our website (www.BioAbroad.org.il) contains important information for academicians abroad and facilitates communication among the Israelis and between them and potential employers in Israel.

- Receipt of stipends for travel to Israel for job interviews (allocated competitively, up to US$700 or 50% of the airfare)
