Postdoctoral Position at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (February 2021)

A postdoctoral position is available in Alberto Ciccia’s laboratory in the Department of Genetics and Development at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The Ciccia laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms that maintain genomic stability upon DNA damage to suppress cancer development and regulate the response to chemotherapy and immunotherapy (Huang JW et al, Nature Communications,
2020; Taglialatela A et al, Molecular Cell, 2017; Joseph SA et al, DNA Repair, 2020). The Ciccia laboratory also studies the function of nucleotide variants in DNA repair genes using innovative base editing screens
(Cuella-Martin R et al, Cell, 2021). In addition, the Ciccia laboratory investigates how modulation of DNA repair processes can improve precision genome editing (Nambiar TS et al, Nature Communications, 2019) and develops novel precision genome editing tools (Billon P et al, Cell Reports, 2020; Billon P et al, Molecular Cell, 2017). Information about current projects can be found at http://www.ciccialab.com/.

Interested candidates with Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degrees are encouraged to apply by March 31, 2021.
Experience in molecular and cell biology, genetics or computational biology, and first-authored publications
in peer-reviewed journals are preferred.

To apply for this position, please submit a cover letter describing research experience and interests, CV and
