Remote Sensing Scientist

About the company:

At mobile physics we use current smartphone technology to measure a wide range of atmospheric parameters without adding additional internal or external hardware. The team is looking for a motivated scientist to help us develop proprietary new innovative software based algorithms for detection of particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations

What you’ll be doing ?

Develop scientific methodologies for indoor/outdoor detection of aerosols.

Plan, set up, and conduct field experiments and measurements.

Develop image processing algorithms.

Run statistical models on large databases.

Develop and apply scientific algorithms to smartphone software.

What you need to have ?

M.Sc./PhD in Chemistry/Physics/Atmospheric Sciences.

Strong theoretical background in atmospheric radiation transfer, interaction between light and aerosol, aerosol science.

Experience working and developing with Python.

Ability to solve complex problems and work independently or as part of a team.

Familiarity with Linux command line.

Bonus skills:

Programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Javascript, SQL)

Experience using instrumentation and setting up remote sensing field measurements.
