Your Role:
The department head will Lead, supervises, control, monitor, and measures the activity of the department (professional and administrative management), ensuring that the products are manufactured on time efficiently, in the desired quality, quantity, and cost. Responsible for production of multistep organic synthesis products, supervising, scheduling, and coordinating all the production associated activities, performed by the Organic Chemistry department team and supervising according to written protocols/SOPs with emphasis on quality and safety requirements.
In addition, you will provide real-time technical support and problem solving to ensure uninterrupted production and lead process improvement including the introduction of new technologies of production processes, setting processes considering Green Chemistry, and improvement of product specifications to meet current market trends. As a manager you will present department needs to management diligently and persistently, ensuring ISO 9001-2000 compliance and compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Who You Are:
M.Sc /Ph.D. in Chemistry/Organic chemistry
At least 5 of experience in manage a team
Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, chromatographic techniques and spectroscopic identification techniques.
Practical experience in chemistry lab work
Experience with preparative or analytical HPLC, MPLC, TLC.
Experience with the characterization of organic materials by NMR, UV, IR, MS.
Ability to identify and to solve ongoing production difficulties.
Writing skills in Hebrew and English.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Multitasker
Well organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and able to work independently
