Molecules as Sensors

9th Student MINERVA Symposium

September 14-18, 2008

Hotel Ruth Rimonim, Tsfat, Israel

The seminar is focused on sensors in which molecules are used as part of the sensing device. The students will present and discuss experimental and theoretical aspects of state of the art research on this subject. Each session will be opened by a leading researcher in the field. Among the subject to be discussed will be DNA-based and other biological inspired sensors, chemical sensors, molecular electronics, suggested mechanisms for building field effect molecular based devices, and novel molecule transducers. The seminar will be held in the pictorial old city of Tsfat (Safed).

Students (PhD, MSc) from all universities are encouraged to send their abstracts via the online registration form until August 15, 2008.
