Safed The Minerva Symposium will be held in the small, historical town of Safed (also spelled Tzfat, Tsfat, Zefat, etc.) in the forested mountains of northern Israel (Upper Galilee). Safed is a unique and hilly town marked by centuries of history. The hallmarks of Safed include its cobblestone streets and archways, artists’ galleries, and ancient synagogues. Safed is well known for the great Kabballists (Jewish mystics) who thrived there in the past. It is considered one of the four holiest places in Jewish tradition, along with Jerusalem, Tiberius, and Hebron, and today is still considered a world center for Jewish mysticism. The symposium will be held at Ruth Rimonim hotel, located at the old city of Safed.
