Our in-house designed Universal Controller Board (UCB) is a robust solution for any experimental setup. The on-board Xilinx Spartan 3E FPGA provides 112 configurable I/Os and 24 fixed inputs. Setup run/control parameters can be changed during the run via Graphical Interface allowing parameter scan and runtime optimization. Java’s object oriented design of our interface makes the software highly scalable, any peripheral device can be added with little effort.
Several UCB boards are easily integrated to receive as many I/Os as needed. Any number of DAC/ADC channels and RS232 ports can be allocated.
