Resonant Grating Waveguide Structures

Our group is involved in theoretical and experimental investigations of planar stratified structures containing waveguide and grating layers, namely resonant grating waveguide structures. We are investigating their interaction with light, field enhancement, unique polarization and angular and wavelength characteristics.

The research topics include investigations of:

♣ Field enhancement for biological detection by means of two photon fluorescence.
♣ Polarization independent filters
♣ Electro-optic modulators.
♣ Ultra-narrow bandwidth and tunable filters.

Collaboration include:
Soria Soria, ICFO Barcelona- Spain
Zyss Joe, ENSC Paris- France
H.G. Weber, H.H. Institute Berlin- Germany
