There is a recent worldwide surge in health data resources - both from health medical organizations and electronic health records, and from cohorts collected through science-driven projects. These large-scale health data resources present many challenges and opportunities. These resources are also driving researchers worldwide to develop new tools and methods of precision medicine - analysis, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as unique methods of utilizing large scale observational data for more than just association. The Symposium on Big Data in Healthcare aims to bring together scientists working in this area in different parts of the world to present the state of the art research in this field and to address the challenges and opportunities that these relatively new resources present to our community. This symposium will include talks from over 20 international highly-acclaimed invited speakers. We aim to stimulate exciting discussions between interdisciplinary research areas, to forge collaborations and present solutions from ongoing research.

We hope to see you with us!
