Tour of Dead Sea and Jerusalem areas, June 21st, 2017 . 08:30 - 19:00
We will leave the Institute at "8:30" am (meeting point: The David Lopatie Conference Centre), and head towards the Dead Sea.
along the way the guide will point out places of interest.
We will go into one of the northern beaches of the Dead Sea - where you will have time to relax and enjoy the tranquility and experience floating on the water of the Dead Sea.
We will leave the beach toward early noon and head to Jerusalem where we will stop for an introduction at an observation point overlooking the basin of the old city. After a short drive we will begin our walking tour of the old city.
During our tour we will visit the Western Wall (“Kotel”) – one of the holiest place for the Jews, pause for a nice view over Temple Mt. and its famous structures: Dome of the Rock and El Aktza mosque, and visit the Church of Holy Sepulcher - the place marking the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
En route, we will pass through the lively market and if time allows we will visit some stations of the “Via DoLo Rosa”, the “wide wall” and the “Cardo”.
We will finish out tour at Jaffa gate where we will me out transport that will take us back to the Weizmann institute aiming to arrive there between 18:30-19:00
Please bring along a bathing suit, a change of clothes and a towel for the Dead Sea.
