ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Israeli Forum for Cytoskeleton and Motility (IFCM) was established in 2012. Our mission is to promote exchange of knowledge, resources and open discussions to advance the field of cytoskeleton and cell motility in Israel. The cytoskeleton is at the heart of cellular structure, dynamics, and functionality. Its components and their regulation provide the platform for diverse functions that are inter-linked through elaborate networks. To grasp the complexity of the cytoskeleton, a concerted e ort of biophysical, structural, and molecular cell research is essential. The IFCM goal is to gather students and researchers across interdisciplinary fields to create an atmosphere for collaboration and learning to strengthen the research of cytoskeleton and motility in Israel. Our 5th meeting at the Weizmann Institute of Science will be focused on integrative biophysical and cellular approaches in the advancement of cytoskeleton research. It will cover recent state of the art advances in the research of cytoskeleton in Israel and abroad. The program of the IFCM meeting consists of plenary lectures, invited talks, talks selected from abstracts and poster sessions delivered by established and young investigators, as well as postdoctoral fellows and students from the IFCM community.
The plenary lectures will be delivered by
Denis Wirtz, Johns Hopkins U., Baltimore, USA
Anna Akhmanova, Utrecht U., Utrecht, The Netherlands
