The ILANIT-Katzir Prize will be awarded to an Israeli scientist for exceptional achievements in the field of Life Sciences. It is open to an Israeli scientist of Professorial level, whose research has made a special impact in Israel and internationally, but who has not received the Israel, Wolf, Rothschild or Emet prizes.
The Prize Committee and its Chairman will be chosen by members of the Scientific Committee, the President and Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary of FISEB. The Prize Committee will consist of seven professors, each from one of the universities in Israel (Tel-Aviv University, Ben-Gurion University, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Bar-Ilan University, The Technion, Weizmann Institute of Science, Haifa University).
The ILANIT-Katzir Prize (10,000 NIS) is a contribution of the Weizmann Institute of Science. The awardee will be presented at the ILANIT 2014 Congress by the President of ILANIT. The prize will be awarded by the President of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
A Call for Nominations will be advertised at least six months prior to the ILANIT Congress.
