The International Board of the Weizmann Institute of Science will hold its 69th Annual General Meeting on November 5-8, 2017.
On November 2, 1917, Lord Arthur James Balfour issued the declaration that set Israel on the path to statehood. History credits our founder and Israel’s first President, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, with inspiring what has become known as the Balfour Declaration. It was Dr. Weizmann’s pioneering scientific work on the development of synthetic acetone that helped him gain influence within the British establishment. We have been making history ever since. The Weizmann Institute of Science invites you to join us in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration and many years of scientific achievements for the benefit of humanity.
Become part of the ongoing story of the Weizmann Institute by joining us for four days of making and sharing science, history, and lasting memories. We will honor our worldwide supporters whose visionary philanthropy has helped build and sustain the Weizmann Institute over the years. We will hear about groundbreaking research; introduce innovative new scientists; dedicate new institutes, centers, and professorial chairs; confer our highest honor, the distinguished Doctor of Philosophy honoris causa degrees; and much more.
We hope you will join us and we look forward to seeing you here in Rehovot.
