Neuroscience research depends heavily on the development of new technological approaches to answer both long-standing and emerging questions. This symposium brings together neuroscientists that are implementing the most recent technological advancements, whether it be genetically encoded tools, viral vector technology, or new imaging/recording techniques to advance the field. The symposium will cover a number of topics ranging from synaptic and cellular neuroscience to systems neuroscience to social behavior. It will provide a platform for interdisciplinary discussion within the overarching topic of basic neuroscience.
