Three Young Scientist Awards, 500 Euros each, will be awarded. One will be awarded in memory of Professor Zeev Fraenkel for the best oral or poster presentation on Hot and Dense Matter. Two other awards, sponsored by Nuclear Physics A, will be granted one for the best oral presentation, and one for the best poster at PANIC08. For eligibility, presenters have to be younger than 35 years old at the close of December 31, 2008.

The selection of the awardees will be done at the advice of the parallel-session conveners and members of the IAC/PAC.

Eligible candidates should send a message  to with the subject line "PANIC08 Young Scientist Award", stating the accepted abstract number and  date of birth. A brief award ceremony will take place on Friday morning, November 14.
