The Israel Science Foundation workshop on "Protein folding: moving beyond simple model system" will be held from May 13th through May 17th, 2012 at the newly opened David Lopatie Conference Centre in the Weizmann Institute, Rehovot, Israel. The workshop will focus on new frontiers in the protein folding field that are related to the increasing level of complexity of the systems being studied and the new methodologies being employed.

Topics to be covered by the workshop include:

• General principles of folding
• Folding within biomembranes
• Multi-domain protein folding
• Protein folding in the cell
• Molecular chaperone-assisted folding
