The CERES/NA45 (ChErenkov Ring Electron Spectrometer) experiment is devoted to studying the production of low mass electron-positron pairs in heavy ion collisions at the CERN SPS. The CERES experiment is one of the series of experiments studying the interactions of heavy ions on various fixed heavy targets.
