Postdoctoral Fellowships and Ph.D. student positions in 

Solid Earth Geodynamics

Applications for post doc positions are invited from candidates with a recent Ph.D. in geophysics, physics, civil engineering or related fields to join the solid Earth research activities in the Weizmann Institute of Science. The positions are for one to two years.

Ph.D. student fellowships are also available for students with an undergraduate degree in geology, physics or geophysics. Details of the studies program are available at http://www.weizmann.ac.il/ESER/ESP.

Successful applicants will be involved in research projects such as: granular dynamics with application to landslides, earthquakes and other systems. Earthquake physics. Multiphase and reactive flow in porous media  with application to melt migration in the mantle and fluid flow in crustal rocks. Erosion and landscape evolution.

The Weizmann Institute of Science is situated in the quiet city of Rehovot, about 25 km south of Tel Aviv. Full financial support is available through a research stipend.
