The goal of our laboratory is to better understand general principles of organization and evolution of the protein machinery. To this aim, we study proteins both in silico and in vivo. In silico, we analyze protein’s structures and relate it to biophysical and evolutionary properties. In vivo, we analyze proteins interactions, localization(s) and abundance to understand how these properties impact and contribute to cellular functions.

As part of this I-CORE, we focus on the protein production and degradation machineries, and dissect their compositions, interactions and function in both healthy and stressed cells.
