About the Libraries
The Weizmann Institute Library System consists of the Central Library (which serves mainly as headquarters providing administrative and professional services to all Institute Libraries as well as scientific information services to institute personnel), and four Faculty library branches:
The Goldschleger Library hosting the Life Sciences & Chemistry Library
The Benoziyo Physics Library
The Frankel Mathematics Library
It also includes several departmental collections. The Libraries are responsible for acquiring, collecting, processing, distributing, and storing all printed and multimedia material needed by the Institute's faculty and staff as well as licensing, implementing, managing and ensuring online access to digital sources such as electronic journals, series, e-books, databases, etc.
The librarians and information specialists assist library users in finding various types of information by using printed and digital resources, and using the material provided sophisticatedly.
The collections include books, bound volumes, current periodical subscriptions in printed form and an ever growing collection of online databases, several thousand current and archived electronic journals, series and e-books. The library also holds special collections.

Access to full text electronic books can be made by using the Library Catalog or the E-Books Manager.
The Libraries home page is the backbone of the Library's Intranet, which reaches out to library patrons enabling them sophisticated use of the library services.

It also provides computerized access to bibliographical information and holdings of books, theses and periodicals at the Institute and university libraries in Israel by using the Library Catalog.
