The Benoziyo Physics Faculty Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Benoziyo Building (Building 37), and connected to the Weissman Physics Building (36).
The Physics Faculty Library is one of five libraries of the Weizmann Institute of Science forming the Library System. It serves Faculty and Institute members, students, staff, participants of Institute educational programs and schools.
Collection
The Physics Library collection offers broad coverage of pure and applied physics, astrophysics, complex systems, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, and other subject areas in a collection of current journal subscriptions, bound journal volumes and books.
Books are shelved by Dewey Decimal Classification numbers.
To locate library material, please use the Library Catalog.
The library has a collection of "Permanent Reserve Books," including physical and mathematical tables' section.
Periodicals
The periodicals are shelved alphabetically by title.
The location of each journal at the Institute can be found in the Library Catalog.
A current journal display in the left side of the Library holds the most recent issues.
Periodicals are not available for loan, except for special purposes (scanning or color photocopying). Please ask the Librarian.
Some periodicals can be found both in print and electronic form.
The Library System also provides students, faculty and staff with access to online resources including databases, journals, and more.

Rules for Borrowing Books
Self borrowing: How to use the loan interface?
Returning books: A special box for returning books is situated behind the wooden wall in the entrance lobby.
Book renewal can be done in person, by phone (2567,) or by e-mail, if no other reader is waiting for the book. Notices about overdue books are sent by e-mail.
Loss, damage, and late return of books are punishable.
Returning books before leaving the Institute: before leaving the institute all library books should be returned.
Not to be borrowed: Permanent reserve books, books from the" New Books on display", and Periodicals in print form (volumes and issues)
Books Reserved for Courses (list)
Check also the Feinberg Graduate School site for full texts of online course material.Reserved books are designated by narrow yellow marking on the spine.
They may be used in the library during the day, borrowed overnight from 15.30 - 9.00 next morning, and weekends: Thursday 15.30 - Sunday 9.00

Purchasing (various options)
The Library is responsible for initiating orders for new material for its own collection, and for relevant departmental collections, including purchasing books to be reserved for courses (Reserve form / Purchase Recommend form).New Books on Display
New books received in the Library stay on a special display shelf for two weeks, and during this period they are not for loan. During that period readers can order a book for loan by writing their names (without the date) on the book card. A note to come and take the book is sent to the reader who requested it when the book starts to circulate. The book is then placed on the Librarian's desk.

The Library has one photocopier, which is located in a special room close to the Librarians' desk.
It is card and coin operated. It accepts coins from IS 0.10 to IS 10.00 and cannot give change.
The machine uses A4 and the standard "quarto" size paper.
Photocopying cards can be obtained at the Faculty secretariat, at the Central Library office, or in the Cashier Office of the Stone Building.Computers and Laptops
The Library provides several workstations for library users.
Material can be downloaded to disk-on-key, or sent the personal e-mail address only.
Laptop connections to the campus network are available (please consult the Librarian).
Wireless Internet access is available for private laptops (users must have an appropriate wireless card).
Institute users wishing to use the Institute network should use a Secure ID card.
