Service to Other Organizations (For a fee)
We would like to point out the stiffened Inter-Library Loan regulations that were recently imposed by publishers and vendors regarding their licensing agreements. Presently, we are allowed to lend library materials only to non-profit educational institutions. Lending to others is forbidden.
Additionally, the lending of specific publisher's library materials to external institutions is not to "help" them avoid buying these materials, rather to fulfill occasional information needs. Lending should hence be measured (approximately six {6} loans per year per journal).
We obey all library agreements with publishers, subsequently, avoid lending when it is strictly forbidden.Israeli universities: We provide document supply of articles/books (print only) to all Israeli universities upon receipt of a request from their Document Supply and Interlibrary Loan Department. Articles are sent as PDF files (by e-mail) or by regular mail.
Israeli colleges: Colleges under the auspices of the Higher Education Council can order books by submitting an official order from their libraries.
Non profit organizations: For special arrangements regarding book loans to Rehovot or Nes Ziona science-based industries, please call 08-9343297.Contact options: e-mail , phone 08-9343297, Postal address: Document Supply and Interlending, Central Library, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot 76100.
