Request Material

If the material you are looking for is not part of our collection you can request it. There are 3 types of requests:

  • purchase a book
  • borrow a book from a partner institution (also known as InterLibrary Loan)
  • request a (probably) free PDF of an article or chapter from a partner institution (also known as InterLibrary Loan)

Purchase

If the material you are looking for is not part of our collection but you think it should be, fill out a recommendation form for a book or journal or send an e-mail to your faculty librarian.

To purchase books for your group from your departmental budget, please fill out a book purchase form (form only available on campus)

If you have already purchased books from your private account and need to get a reimbursement please fill out the direct purchase reimbursement form in English or Hebrew.

Request an Article or Book via Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

When the material you are looking for is not part of our collection, it may be available through another university library.  We have ILL relationships with leading universities, nationally and internationally.

Please note that this service is usually provided for free.  A fee would only be discussed if the material cannot be found via our usual partners.

To request, email the Library or order via the Library's automated form (requires login with Weizmann credentials).  Recommended:  Use a DOI to auto-fill the form.  If an ISSN is provided for the journal, your article may even be sent to your email completely automatically, day or night, holiday or work day.
