OBJECTIVES

To understand the cell and its diseases, it is essential to observe its thousands of proteins as they are created, move about the cell, and are finally degraded.

The goal of the Kahn project is to develop a novel system for visualizing the positions and quantifying the amounts of the different proteins over time in living human cells, and to develop the concepts and tools needed to understand protein circuitry on the systems level.
