A Description of the Position Available

Candidates are sought for a PhD position in the Department of Environmental Sciences, Weizmann Institute, Rehovot, Israel. Research will involve laboratory studies of the basic chemical and physical properties of aerosols in the troposphere. Studies will include: 1) heterogeneous chemistry of importance to both the global troposphere and urban air quality, 2) Interactions of secondary trace gases with aerosols, 3) identification of chemical content of ambient aerosols Experimental experience in physical or atmospheric chemistry is preffered.
