Meiosis-specific decoupling of degradation from deadenylation affects (A) tail length

The study, led by David Wiener, describes a singular context, yeast meiosis, in which mRNA deadenylation and degradation are decoupled. This unique decoupling allowed exploration of the determinants of mRNA deadenylation, and implication of transcript length as being strongly associated with deadenylation.
