After much anticipation, Aldema’s paper is finally out.
Aldema's paper is now in Nature journal! Using a systematic approach for mapping RNA cytidine acetylation across the transcriptome, we find that this modification is widespread and dynamically exploited by hyperthermophilic archaea at higher growth temperatures as a mechanism for RNA thermostabilization. Great collaboration with the Meier and Shalev-Benami labs!
