I am interested in consolidation and retrieval of long-term memory in humans. I wish to elucidate the neuronal mechanisms that participate in these processes and to determine how we as outsiders can affect it for good and for worse. My current project focuses on the consolidation of episodic long-term memory of real-life-like events, using movies as the study material. I am particularly studying the emotional aspects of episodes and their role in converting memory into a stable, long-lasting form. In my out-of-lab life I primarily enjoy activities which evoke my imagination, like day-dreaming, reading books & going to cinema. |
