My prior studies on the neuropsychology of human memory (in collaboration with Prof. Larry Squire) have touched on conceptual priming, the brain substrate of semantic knowledge, odor recognition, and the question of the role of perirhinal cortex in visual processing. Currently, I am investigating the contribution of the parietal lobes to long-term memory (with Sharon Haramati and Dr. Nachum Soroker of the Beit Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center), and the effect of context on remembering (with Prof. Eli Vakil of Bar Ilan University). I am also attempting to create tools for memory remediation in brain-injured patients (with Eli Vakil and Dr. Ohr Barak of the Recanati Institute).
When not busy with science, paying bills, or enjoying my six wonderful children, I am writing a musical drama about the events of 1492.
