I am interested in the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie learning and memory. Currently I am investigating the synaptic plasticity effects of PKMzeta, an enzyme that plays a crucial role in long term memory storage. Toward this end, I examine how manipulating the expression of the enzyme in cortical cell cultures affects neuronal properties. This work is carried out in collaboration with Prof. Menahem Segal.
In my spare time, I enjoy engaging in sports activities which always succeed in reviving my energy.
