The Levinson Visitors Center is part of the Department of Hospitality and Conferences, which handles VIP visits, organizes scientific conferences and manages visits by the public to the beautiful, verdant campus located in the northern part of the city of Rehovot. The Levinson Visitors Center affords visitors a rare glimpse into the fascinating world of science and research at one of the leading scientific institutes in Israel and the world.
The Visitors Center is currently undergoing renovations and will resume full operations in the winter of 2012. For now, the Visitors Center is operating out of the Wix Auditorium, where visitors can watch a short film that provides a brief overview of the Weizmann Institute of Science and the research done there (by prior arrangement). There is also a gift shop on the premises. The film is screened free of charge.
The Center offers a friendly invitation to the general public, both children and adults, to get to know the Weizmann Institute of Science and the research conducted by its scientists. Its programs include engaging the public in interactive displays, and the screening of various movies, including captivating 3D films that bring science to life.
We recommend that you visit the Weizmann House, the home of the first President of the State of Israel, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, and the Clore Garden of Science, a unique outdoor science museum.
Also open to visitors are the Observation Deck of the solar mirror field and the Solar Tower.
The Visitors Center hosts some 20,000 visitors every year.
Please coordinate your visit ahead of time, whether arriving individually or in a group.
