Procurement Division oversees the centralized purchasing of goods and services from suppliers in Israel and abroad, according to quality and availability protocols. It takes advantage of the significant leverage afforded by the size and reputation of the Weizmann Institute in order to achieve the best prices and reduce overhead.
The purchasing process is supported by an ERP system which oversees procurement requirements: from producing the appropriate order for the supplier until the goods are supplied, payment to the supplier and a successful closing of the logistic circle.
The division is also responsible for ensuring the availability and immediate supply of inventory from the warehouses, including chemical materials, scientific equipment, gasses and technical equipment for the scientific, administrative and technical sectors.
